Nokia has sent invites for a December
16 Lumia event in New Delhi, calling it a "BIG" day for the company.
Nokia Lumia 1520 India launch seems to be on the cards and we could even
see the Nokia Lumia 1320 being launched on the same date.
The Phablet will feature a 6-inch screen with a 1080p resolution and to power that large display, it will be powered by a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 800 chipset along with 2GB of RAM. Allegedly, there is also a 20 megapixel camera along with 32GB internal memory, and support for a microSD card. The phone is said to come with the Microsoft GDR3 software update pre-installed. This update will bring 1080p and quad core support to the Windows Phone lineup, along with other features such as an updated glance screen, and the "Bittersweet Shimmer" feature. While there is no word on the pricing, we are sure that the Nokia Lumia 1520 will be priced above Rs.40,000 in India.
Apart from the Lumia 1520, Nokia also unveiled the lower-end- Lumia 1320 smartphone at the Nokia World event. Though we are completely sure about it being launched alongside the Lumia 1520 on December 16th. The Lumia 1320 has a 6-inch IPS LCD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. It comes with Nokia's ClearBlack technology and has a pixel density of 245ppi (pixels per inch).
The smartphone is powered by 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 1GB of RAM and runs on Windows 8 OS. The Lumia 1320 has 8GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It also comes with free 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and features Nokia Camera app. The Lumia 1320 supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE and WiFi connectivity. The smartphone will be available in four colour variants such as Black, Orange, White and Yellow.
